We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school from September 2026. This full-time position will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will work within either a Year 4 or Year 5 classroom, providing general support to the class teacher and helping pupils achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and understanding
- Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and displays
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence
- Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and engagement
Pre-Requisites
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above preferred) or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting, ideally KS2
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
Pay: £85.50-£120.00 per day
