About the Job you are considering:
Join the Financial Services Business Unit within Capgemini’s Cloud & Custom Applications (C&CA) practice as a Data Architect, where you will consult with purpose to shape enterprise data strategies and architect future-ready solutions. You will play a pivotal role in designing scalable, secure, and insight-driven data ecosystems that enable business transformation. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will guide organisations in evolving their data capabilities, embedding AI awareness, and accelerating value delivery. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about continuously evolving architecture to meet tomorrow’s needs.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Define and shape end-to-end data architecture that enables scalable, insight-driven business outcomes
- Translate high-level architecture into fit-for-purpose solution designs aligned to enterprise principles
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of global architecture frameworks and standards
- Govern solutions to ensure alignment with strategic architecture, driving consistency and quality across programmes
- Partner with business and engineering teams to refine requirements and ensure clarity of solution direction
- Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, risks, and impacts to diverse stakeholders
- Enable delivery teams to succeed by providing guidance on design, structure, and best practice
- Support the development of future-ready data capabilities, embedding AI awareness and innovation mindset
- Navigate complex, large-scale programmes, ensuring cohesion across distributed teams and stakeholders
Your Skills:
- Strong background in data architecture, including data storage, transformation, event processing, APIs, and security principles
- Experience designing and delivering analytics-driven solutions in enterprise environments
- Proven ability to think conceptually and logically, abstracting complexity into clear architectural direction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience resolving complex challenges
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively across both technical and business audiences
- Experience working within large, complex, and geographically distributed programmes
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their role in modern data ecosystems (without being a specialist)
- Cloud platform experience relevant to enterprise data solution delivery
Good-to-Have Skills
- Microsoft Fabric
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Exposure to modern data platforms, analytics frameworks, and cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with governance frameworks and architectural review processes
- Relevant cloud or data architecture certifications
