We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in St Helens on a full-time basis, starting in September 2026.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons that inspire students and support their academic progress. You will work closely with colleagues and support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and colleagues to support student development.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for learning and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in departmental and school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student success.
