Salary: £26,227 per annum
Location: WECIL Office, The Vassall Centre, Fishponds, BS16 2QQ (office-based role)
Contract: Permanent
At WECIL, we believe Disabled people should have choice and control over their lives. Every day, people contact us looking for information, advice and support to help them overcome barriers and live independently.
We're looking for an organised, dynamic and people-focused Customer Support Administrator to become the first point of contact for everyone accessing WECIL's services.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll welcome visitors to our office, answer enquiries, support referrals into our specialist services and help ensure Disabled people receive the right support at the right time.
About the role
As the first point of contact for WECIL, you'll play a key role in creating a positive experience for Disabled people, their families, professionals and community partners.
The role involves welcoming people at reception, managing incoming phone calls and emails, coordinating referrals, booking appointments and supporting teams with diary management. You'll often be the first person someone speaks to when they contact WECIL, so you'll need to be confident communicating with a wide range of people and responding to different communication styles and support needs.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service, problem-solving and working in a busy environment where no two days are the same.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming visitors to the WECIL office and providing a friendly, professional reception service
- Responding to enquiries by phone, email and in person
- Managing WECIL's main phone line and supporting the Direct Payments Support line
- Processing referrals and directing enquiries to the appropriate teams
- Booking appointments and supporting diary management across services
- Supporting people to access information, resources and community services
- Handling initial payroll and timesheet enquiries
- Monitoring shared inboxes and maintaining accurate records on our database systems
- Gathering feedback from people who use our services
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure Disabled people receive a responsive and joined-up service
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys helping people and delivering excellent customer service
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident speaking with a wide range of people and adapting to different communication styles
- Can manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively
- Is organised, proactive and solution-focused
- Has strong administration and IT skills
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Shares WECIL's commitment to inclusion, equality and the Social Model of Disability
Experience in administration, customer service, reception, advice services or community support would be beneficial, but we welcome applicants with transferable skills and the right values.
Why join WECIL?
