BVS Transport are a family-based company with big ideas for expansion and that expansion will be fuelled by great people. To aid our growth we are looking for an experienced Transport Planning Manager with at least 2-5 years’ experience in Transport Planning and , Management preferably with a small/medium transport business. The salary reflects our intent to get the right person who should be hardworking and hungry to improve our business. This is a fast growing business with huge development opportunities working closely with Group Operations Manager and Managing Director to develop yourself in this role.
The role will involve:
- Arranging and planning vehicles and containers
- Provide supporting information for supervising and managing driver workloads.
- Ensuring vehicles are operating efficiently and profitably.
- Communicating with customers and resolving issues when they arise.
- Sourcing back loads.
- You will be responsible for a team of drivers and vehicles including HGV's.
- To ensure all vehicle walkaround and defects are being completed.
- Liaise with our sales and accounts teams for any delivery or POD enquiries.
- Plan and route all daily and next day vehicles.
- Debrief drivers after route and reconcile any paperwork/payments.
- Managing multi depot sites, which will require trunking
Training is provided in these areas to help support your growth in a business that is currently expanding in size and fleet.
