Production Team Leader | Derby, DE24 | £34,000 per annum | Permanent | 3 Shift Rotation (AM/PM/Nights)
Capella Industrial are recruiting on behalf of a well established manufacturing business based in the Derby area.
The Business:
This company operates within plastic injection moulding and manufacturing, producing high quality plastic components supplied into multiple industries across the UK. Operating from a busy Derby facility, they are continuing to grow and are now looking to strengthen their leadership team with an experienced Production Team Leader.
The Role:
This is a hands on leadership role overseeing daily production activities across shift operations, ensuring output, quality and health & safety standards are consistently achieved.
You will support the production team on the shop floor, drive performance and work closely with maintenance, quality and logistics teams to keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading daily production activities across the shift
- Ensuring production and quality targets are achieved
- Carrying out quality checks and production patrols
- Supporting and developing production staff
- Maintaining health & safety and housekeeping standards
- Reporting production issues and downtime promptly
- Working closely with other departments across the site
- Supporting stock control and inventory activities
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience within manufacturing
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Hands on and proactive approach
- Good understanding of production and health & safety procedures
- Comfortable using production systems and Microsoft Office
- Lean manufacturing knowledge would be beneficial
