Overview
We are seeking a Semi Skilled Site Fitter to join our installation team. This role involves assisting with the installation of shelving, Racking, Mezzanine floors and industrial partitioning on-site, throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of construction-related trades and be eager to develop their skills further. This position offers valuable experience in a dynamic environment, supporting the successful completion of diverse projects. Candidates should be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Must have a current category B drivning licence (up to 7.5 Tonne)
Must be available to work away Mon - Fri with accommodation and expense allowance given.
PPE and work wear will be issued.
Ideal CSCS or equivalent card
Full Training Will Be Given.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation of steel shelving, racking, mezzanine floors and industrial partitions under supervision
- Using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to project specifications
- Reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Performing basic fabrication and carpentry tasks to support site requirement.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Assisting with site preparation, material handling, and equipment setup
Experience
- Basic knowledge of construction trades such as manual lifting, lightweight steel erection and labouring is desirable
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a construction setting
- Familiarity with reading schematics or technical drawings is advantageous
- Prior exposure to site fitting or similar roles is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety standards is essential
