Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating TIPPER lorries equipped with tipping mechanisms, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials to various sites. Duties
- Operate Class 2 lorries with tipping capabilities in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver materials to designated locations, ensuring prompt and accurate service
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues
- Secure loads properly to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards during driving operations
- Assist with loading and unloading as required, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or tipper vehicles
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for vehicle operation
- Ability to operate flatbeds and understand load securing procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules efficiently
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Physically capable of handling load securing tasks and assisting with loading/unloading processes
