Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning services.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to optimise workforce productivity while ensuring coverage during peak times.
- Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or special requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrable customer service skills with a professional approach to guest interactions.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for overseeing supply deliveries or conducting site inspections.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams, with the ability to foster a positive working environment.
