Humly are working with a fantastic Nursery based in Stourbridge to help them with recruit for an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a brand new early years setting, opening soon as part of a well-established franchise.This is a unique chance to be involved from the very beginning — helping to build the nursery from the ground up, shape its culture, and bring your own ideas to life. You will play a key role in setting up the environment, recruiting your team, and ensuring that the nursery provides an inspiring, high-quality start for every child.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and registration process for the new nursery, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and EYFS requirements.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a passionate team of practitioners.
- Create a warm, stimulating, and safe environment for children to learn and develop.
- Work collaboratively with the franchise network to uphold brand standards while implementing your own ideas and vision for the setting.
- Oversee daily operations, budgets, and occupancy levels.
- Build strong relationships with families, the local community, and external partners.
- Promote best practice in safeguarding, inclusion, and child development.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of experience as a Nursery Manager or in a senior leadership role within early years.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and current childcare legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A creative and proactive mindset, with the ability to bring fresh ideas to a new setting.
- A genuine passion for early years education and for building something truly special from the start.
