Job Title: Residential Support Worker (Bank)
Location: Various
Pay: £16.00 p/h (Days) and £16.50 p/h (Nights)
Contract Type: Bank/Casual
Working Pattern: All shifts are 12.5 hours
About You:
As a Residential Support Worker (Bank), you will provide support to a young person in one of our Ofsted registered homes. You will need to be resilient, patient, and committed to providing high quality care in often demanding and challenging situations. Every decision you make will be at the best interests of the young person in your care, all whilst ensuring safeguarding is at the centre of everything you do.
In your role, you will promote boundaries and acceptable behaviour, supporting visits to activities within the community, and supporting them to live as fulfilling lives as possible. You will play a key role within the residential team to ensure we provide the best care possible to some of the most vulnerable.
The role will require you to complete sleep ins as and when required to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
To apply for our Residential Support Worker (Bank) role, you will need:
· At least a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent qualification) in Children’s Residential Care, or the willingness to achieve this
· At least 8 months experience as a support worker, health care assistant, or similar, working with significant challenging behaviour. This will be in either secure or residential settings
· Be certified and have experience in intervention training (such as PMVA)
· A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a good working knowledge of using IT equipment
