Personal Care Assistant
Location: North East Lincolnshire
Hours: 20 hours per week plus overtime opportunities
Contract : Flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holiday and sickness cover.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, loyal, and committed Personal Care Assistant to join an established support team providing care for a young man with complex healthcare needs.
The successful candidate will provide full personal care and support with all aspects of daily living, helping to maximise independence, choice, and quality of life both within the family home and out in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and support at all times.
- Assist with all daily living activities to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Support access to community activities, appointments, and social opportunities.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections in line with training and care plans.
- Undertake safe moving and handling procedures, including the use of hoists and specialist equipment.
- Monitor health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with family members and the wider care team.
- Maintain accurate records and follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure dignity, privacy, and respect are upheld at all times.
Essential Requirements
Over 21years of age .
- Experience supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs.
- Experience with personal care.
- Knowledge and experience of hoisting and manual handling procedures.
- Experience administering medication and injections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Full UK DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
