Job Summary
We are a small and friendly family construction company. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team Monday to Fridays full time. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering small plant and materials efficiently and safely from our head office in the Halstead Essex area to our construction sites based in London. This role requires excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate various routes. If not on delivery’s will be working in head office yard organising workshop.
Responsibilities
- Operate our commercial vehicle, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Load and unload goods ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tools or materials.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance and report issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with office and sites regarding delivery schedules or any delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times during operations.
Experience
- Experience as a delivery driver or commercial driving an advantage.
- Experience navigating in and around London an advantage.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: On the road and at head office.
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
