Our client based in the Ely area is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis. Working within a busy warehouse and production environment, you will support the manufacturing and dispatch operation by assisting with stock control, goods handling, production duties and general warehouse responsibilities. This role would suit candidates with previous warehouse, production operative or manufacturing operative looking for a long-term opportunity with progression available.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting with general warehouse and production duties
- Unwrapping and re-packaging products ready for dispatch
- Sorting deliveries and placing stock into the correct locations
- Checking labels and product information for accuracy
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory counts
- Moving stock around the warehouse manually or using lifting equipment
- Operating production machinery
- Maintaining housekeeping and health & safety standards throughout the site
- Supporting the wider warehouse and production team as required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous warehouse operative or production operative experience beneficial
- Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments advantageous
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling duties
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
Hourly Rate & Working Hours:
- £13.00 - £14.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 – 16:00
- 40 hours per week
