We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to join our welcoming kitchen team at Urban West to help expand our offering. This is a part time roll, predominantly a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves cooking but prefers a better work-life balance — our café operates sociable daytime hours (8:00 a.m.–5 p.m.), meaning no late nights and a more relaxed service environment than a traditional restaurant.
As part of our team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in fresh, seasonal cooking while enjoying a supportive, collaborative atmosphere that encourages growth and creativity.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of fresh dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly throughout the day.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene practices to maintain top standards.
- Communicate clearly with your teammates to ensure smooth service and a positive vibe.
- Take part in menu development and contribute ideas for daily specials.
- Help manage stock rotation and report any shortages promptly.
What We’re Looking For
- Some kitchen experience is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene.
- A team player who enjoys working in a calm, well-organised environment.
- Passion for good food, curiosity to learn, and pride in presentation.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional manner.

Pay: £10.85-£14.00 per hour
