Accounts & Administration Assistant: Role Overview
The Gisby Harrison Finance & Accounts team is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm’s financial operations.
The firm operates both office and client accounts, where strict compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules is essential.
The Accounts & Administration Assistant plays a key supporting role within the finance function, working closely with the Finance & Administration Manager and Accounts Manager to ensure smooth and accurate financial processes across the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & Accounts Support
- Posting invoices, disbursements and payments onto ledgers
- Processing bank transfers (both incoming and outgoing)
- Preparing cheques for payment
- Taking and processing card payments
- Banking cheques
- Managing daily cost transfers
Ledger Management & Queries
- Checking ledgers and resolving discrepancies
- Responding to and resolving ledger queries
- Supporting with general accounts-related queries
Reporting & Data
- Assisting with financial and data reporting
- Undertaking ad hoc data analysis (e.g. debts, WIP)
Operational & Administrative Support
- Providing cover for the Accounts Manager when required
- Filing (including bills) and maintaining organised records
- Supporting file archiving processes
- Assisting with post duties, including collection and distribution
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Accounts and Finance: 2 years (required)
- Legal Accounts : 2 years (required)
