Cook/Chef

About Us:
We are a 25-bed residential care home in Rushwick, Worcester providing high-quality care for elderly residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook/Chef to prepare nutritious and well-balanced meals for our residents.
The Role:
As our Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, home-cooked meals that cater to our residents’ dietary needs and preferences. Experience in a care home or similar environment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality, traditional meals tailored to residents' dietary requirements
- Ensure all food is prepared to a high standard while maintaining strict hygiene and safety regulations
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
- Keep accurate records of meals provided and report any dietary changes or concerns
- Report any defects in kitchen equipment to the Home Manager
- Work closely with the care team to support residents' nutritional needs
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience in cooking for large groups (preferably in a care home, school, or similar setting)
✔ Understanding of dietary requirements for the elderly, including soft diets and allergens
✔ Level 2 Food Hygiene & Level 2 Allergy Awareness certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔ A passion for creating nutritious and enjoyable meals for residents
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
