Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
- Assist in meal preparation for various menu items as required
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Serve dishes promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Follow all food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly grilling methods
- Experience with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service etiquette is advantageous
