Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Full-Time Front of House Waiter/Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves both serving food and beverages and providing a welcoming atmosphere, contributing to the overall success of our establishment. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, along with a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and soft drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer relations throughout the dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, bar counters, and service stations.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist in setting up and closing down the service area as required.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with food preparation or culinary skills is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and sales.
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial in understanding dish components and presentation standards.
- Organised, adaptable, with a positive attitude towards teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £12.77-£14.00 per hour
