Hours: 7:00am – 7:00pm

A well-established food manufacturing business is seeking a proactive and detail-orientedQuality Assurance Officer to join its Technical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance standards are consistently achieved across the manufacturing operation.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining technical, quality, and food safety systems throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and verify food safety, quality, and technical standards across the operation.
- Support compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
- Conduct routine GMP and hygiene audits, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Perform environmental, product, and personnel monitoring activities, including sample collection and testing programmes.
- Complete calibration checks and maintain relevant records in accordance with schedules.
- Carry out production line start-up checks and escalate any non-conformances.
- Support traceability exercises, mock recalls, and HACCP verification activities.
- Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor raw materials and ingredients against specifications and approved supplier standards.
- Investigate quality concerns and support root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Assist in supplier non-conformance management and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with operational teams to improve technical compliance through coaching and guidance.
- Support new product introductions and cross-functional improvement projects.
Experience
- Previous experience within an FMCG, food manufacturing, or production environment.
- Understanding of food safety and quality management systems.
- Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Confidence analysing data and supporting improvement initiatives.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
