Kings Group is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate IT Technician to join our growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of IT systems and infrastructure.
Working closely with our Head of IT, you will provide technical support to colleagues across the business, assist with IT projects, and help maintain the technology that keeps our offices operating efficiently. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone at the beginning of their IT career.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support and helpdesk assistance to users across the business.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Build, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and support Microsoft Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Assist with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration tasks.
- Support and maintain Microsoft SharePoint environments.
- Enrol, configure, and deploy company laptops and devices.
- Assist with user account creation, permissions management, and access control.
- Diagnose recurring technical issues and contribute to long-term solutions and process improvements.
- Support network infrastructure, including basic troubleshooting of switches, routers, wireless networks, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with patch panel installations, labelling, and configuration activities.
- Support office moves, new branch openings, and IT equipment installations.
- Assist with hardware upgrades, repairs, and inventory management.
- Support the setup and operation of onsite meetings, training sessions, and company events.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, systems, and support activities.
- Work alongside Head of IT on infrastructure and technology projects.
Along with carrying out such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Employer from time to time.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Networking, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career within IT Support and Infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable (Training Provided):
Knowledge or exposure to any of the following technologies would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Laptop build, imaging, enrolment, and deployment
- Computer hardware installation and troubleshooting
- Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
- Patch panel configuration and cable management
- DrayTek router configuration and administration
- Active Directory and user account management
- IT asset management systems
- Endpoint security and device management solutions
