Chef/Cook/Cake Baker – Daytime Only, full-time
Church Farm is a Rare Breed Animal Centre which is open to the public all year round. The open kitchen serves a variety of seasonal lunches for adults & children, to include filled baked potatoes, toasted sandwiches, quiche, soup & specials. We have an excellent reputation for our homemade cakes, biscuits & scones.
· Responsible for preparing & cooking all food to pass
· Responsible for preparing, cooking & decorating all cakes, scones, biscuits etc.
· Responsible for ordering all groceries
· Able to stick to a budget and cost out dishes
· Positive, keen, efficient team player
· Work closely & communicate effectively with other tearoom staff
· Responsible for Chef staffing rota
· Must be able to plan and be highly organised in preparation for our busy times.
· Must hold a level 2 food certificate & allergen certificate or be prepared to take the course.
We are always open to suggestions and will work alongside someone who will enhance the already excellent reputation of Church Farm food.
5 days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday. Core hours 6.30am to 3pm (40 hour week). Will be required to work extra at busy times.
Salary: circa £33,000, depending on experience.
