Home Care Assistant – Worksop Area
Shifts: 07:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide essential support to clients in their own homes across the Worksop area. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive atmosphere.

Working two shift patterns: 07:00–14:00 (mornings) and 14:00–22:00 (afternoons/evenings), with additional hours available on request. The majority of calls will be on a double-up basis, where you will work alongside one of our experienced carers. This offers a great opportunity for those new to care to build confidence and skills quickly and effectively.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible support for clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or social engagements as required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant parties.
Requirements
- Experience in home care or a related field is preferred but not essential — full training provided.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members.
- A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential — you'll be travelling between client homes across Bolsover, Clowne and Renishaw).
- A caring attitude and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those you assist.
What we're looking for

- Full UK driving licence & access to a car (essential).
- Fluent English – clear spoken and written communication.
- Availability for either the 07:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00 shift pattern (or both).
