Fox Excel is looking for a chef delivering exceptional dining experiences. We host corporate gatherings, celebrations, and social events with a focus on elevated cuisine and seamless service. Our kitchen runs high-volume lunch and evening service across multiple events weekly.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen team. The role involves preparing and cooking high-quality dishes during busy lunch and evening services while maintaining excellent food standards, cleanliness, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be confident working under pressure, organised during service, and passionate about delivering consistently great food.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard during service
- Manage your section efficiently during busy lunch and evening periods
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and stock control
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Monitor stock levels and minimise waste
- Follow food safety and health & safety procedures at all times
- Help with kitchen opening, closing, and cleaning duties
- Support menu development and daily specials where required
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong cooking skills and good understanding of kitchen operations
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on grill, sauté, fryer, or hot sections
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience in high-volume lunch and dinner service
- Ability to work independently during service
