As a Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Secondary Teacher, you will work closely with teachers and students across KS3 & KS4, supporting pupils academically through 1:1 and small group interventions. You will help support engaging lessons, provide targeted subject-specific support, and assist in creating a positive and productive learning environment.
This role is ideal for an aspiring Secondary Teacher looking to build confidence, develop classroom management skills and gain invaluable school-based experience ahead of teacher training. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to be considered for Salaried Teacher Training from September 2027.

Secondary Graduate Teaching Assistant

Supporting students across KS3 & KS4

Working across English, Maths, Science or Humanities depending on your subject specialism

Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions

Supporting students in core subject lessons

Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom delivery

Opportunity to support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and Speech & Language needs

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Must hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a reputable University

English, Maths, Science or Humanities degree preferred

Strong GCSEs and A Levels across the board

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

Passionate about pursuing a career in Secondary Teaching
