About the Role
Are you an experienced Crane Operator looking for a hands-on role in a growing manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a well-established engineering business that handles all production in-house, including raw material processing, welding, fabrication, painting, and assembly.
This role is key to safely moving materials and products throughout the facility, supporting production, and maintaining high standards in lifting and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Crane Operations:
- Operate overhead cranes (up to 50 tonnes)
- Load and unload products to and from transport vehicles
- Set up lifting rigs appropriate for each job
- Inspect lifting gear prior to use and report defects
General Warehouse / Operational Duties:
- Operate and manage technical equipment as required
- Pick, pack, and wrap orders accurately for dispatch
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow production schedules and health & safety procedures
- Adhere to company procedures aligned with ISO9001, ISO45001 & ISO14001
- Complete weekly timesheets for submission to team leads
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environments
- Competent in operating overhead cranes (up to 50T preferred) and forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety and manual handling
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001) is an advantage
