Freelance Event Crew and Mechanics - Charity Events (Liverpool)
£130 per day / per event (up to 10 hours)

Ad hoc, freelance work – flexible and rewarding
o3e is the leading provider of Charity Team Building Challenges. All of our events give back to charity, and if they do not, well then, we do not do them! We believe it takes only three elements to make a difference, Business, Charity, and Teamwork. We are based in Brighton in the UK but work on events across the UK, US and Europe.
We are looking for crew members to work on an event we have coming up in Liverpool on 9th July 2026. Please note this is a one day event only. No experience is necessary
We’re proud to be a BCorp-certified business, earning our certification in 2020. We aim to show the world that business can be a force for good – and we’re looking for people who share that mission.
About the role
As part of our nationwide event crew, you’ll be responsible for helping to deliver engaging and memorable team-building experiences for groups of 6 to 1500+ from start to finish. A typical day will include travelling to the venue, unloading the van, setting up the event space, engaging with participants throughout the session, and packing down afterwards.
If you join us as Event Crew, you’ll need to:
- Arrive in good time (usually an hour or more before the event start time) to unload the van and set up the event area
- Engage with clients and participants, running interactive team challenges and mini-games (training will be provided)
- Represent our company professionally and warmly, keeping the atmosphere positive, inclusive, and fun
- Work as part of a small team to ensure events run smoothly and safely
- Pack down, safety check equipment, and reload the van efficiently after the event
- When needed, deliver items made during the event to local charity partners
Events usually last around 2 to 2.5 hours, but including setup, delivery, and packdown, you’ll typically work around 6-7 hours (and occasionally up to a full 10-hour day depending on travel, event size, and logistics).
We’re looking for people who are:
· Confident communicators, able to engage and instruct groups of all abilities
· Friendly, patient, and professional, creating an inclusive and positive environment
· Practical and proactive, able to solve problems and adapt on the day
· Comfortable handling light physical work (loading/unloading equipment)
· Reliable and punctual, with a focus on quality, safety, and great teamwork
The details
- Crew rate-£130 per event (covers up to 10 hours) After your first 5 events, your day rate increases to £150.
- All travel expenses reimbursed
- ·Ad hoc freelance work – hours vary month to month (more during busy seasons)
