Arkmat is a busy online retailer of a wide variety of products in the home and garden, equine, agricultural and industrial sectors. We are a busy business with ambitious growth plans. The role of Warehouse Operative is a key role in facilitating these ambitions.
This full time role is based at our new 25,000sq ft warehouse in Wellington, Somerset. Located approximately 1 mile from Junction 26 of the M5 so it is commutable from Wellington, Taunton, Bridgwater, Exeter and the surrounding area.
About The Role:
- Assist with order packing and stock preparation
- Ensure compliance with courier size and weight limits and company quality standards
- Operate order wrapping equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with managing stock of raw materials, packaging, and finished products
- General housekeeping duties within the warehouse including; stock replenishment, stock rotation, cleanliness, tidiness and compliance with Health & Safety guidelines
- Attention to detail and presentation of the picked product to meet customers high expectations
- Conduct routine equipment checks and assist with maintenance as needed

- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn will
- Someone who can work within a fast paced and time-sensitive environment
- Experience in warehousing, production or manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
- Ability to work with and manage KPIs
- IT literacy; the packing station and the wrapping machine are computer operated
- A commitment to quality and safety
- A valid FLT Licence would be useful but is not essential
