University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Oral Surgery to join our established and supportive team at Bristol Dental Hospital.
This fixed-term post (commencing in September and ending 31 March 2027) offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-quality, patient-centred service within a busy and diverse Oral Surgery department. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver specialist care across a broad case mix, including both adult and paediatric patients.

Deliver high-quality Oral Surgery care across outpatient, day case, and theatre settings.
Undertake triage of referrals and provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues.
Run new and follow-up clinics, including joint multidisciplinary clinics (e.g. Orthodontics/Oral Surgery and TMJ).
Provide treatment under local anaesthesia, conscious sedation, and general anaesthesia across Trust sites.
Support delivery and oversight of the Emergency Dental Service (within core hours).
Contribute to service planning and management of clinical caseloads to meet RTT and operational targets.
Play an active role in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement.
Supervise and support Dental Core Trainees, Clinical Fellows, Specialty Trainees, and SAS colleagues.
