35T Machine Operator (GPS Experience) – Hailsham
We are looking for an experienced and reliable 35T Machine Operator with GPS experience to work on sites across Hailsham. You will be responsible for operating heavy plant safely and efficiently, carrying out excavation, grading, and earthworks in line with project specifications and GPS machine control systems.
Key Responsibilities

Operating a 35T excavator safely and efficiently on construction and civil engineering sites

Using GPS machine control systems to carry out excavation and grading works accurately

Carrying out bulk excavation, drainage excavation, muck shifting, and earthworks as required
-
Reading and interpreting drawings, site plans, and GPS data to ensure works are completed to specification
-
Conducting daily plant checks and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
-
Working closely with site management and groundworks teams to coordinate operations
-
Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards and programme deadlines
-
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times
-
Following all site health & safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
-
Valid CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator ticket for above 10 tonnes
-
Proven experience operating 35T excavators
-
Experience using GPS machine guidance systems (Trimble, Leica, Topcon, or similar)
-
Ability to read and interpret drawings and site plans
-
Strong awareness of health & safety on construction sites
-
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Right to work in the UK

Experience operating additional plant and machinery

5+ years’ experience preferred
