Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Window Fitter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, replacement, and repair of uPVC, aluminium, and composite windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of workmanship, provide excellent customer service, and work safely and efficiently on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare openings to ensure accurate installation.
- Install windows, doors, frames, and associated products to manufacturer specifications.
- Remove existing windows and doors safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all installations are level, secure, weatherproof, and finished to a high standard.
- Carry out remedial adjustments and repairs where required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment on site.
- Liaise professionally with customers, colleagues, and other trades.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Complete relevant paperwork and installation records as required.
- Load, unload, and care for materials, tools, and company vehicles.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience fitting windows and doors is essential.
- Strong knowledge of uPVC, aluminium, and composite products.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence (Desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- MTC Card.
- FENSA installation experience.
- Experience with conservatories, bi-fold doors, and roof lanterns.
- First Aid or Health & Safety qualifications.
