The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across engineering projects, supporting the design, development and delivery of innovative offshore renewable technologies.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards, while supporting the growth and development of the wider engineering team.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across engineering and design projects

Accountable for technical delivery, quality, cost and scope across multiple projects

Lead mechanical design, analysis and technology development activities

Deliver projects across multidisciplinary teams

Support business development and new project opportunities

Mentor and support engineers, graduates and interns

Ensure quality, compliance and best practice across all work

Engage with external partners and represent ORE Catapult at industry events and forums
About You
-
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
-
Chartered (or working towards)
-
Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in engineering design
-
Strong knowledge of engineering tools, processes and best practice
-
Proven experience delivering projects with ownership and accountability

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
-
Able to make sound technical decisions and operate with a high level of autonomy
