We are a growing indie restaurant bringing the flavours of South Africa to the Northern Quarter. Chakalaka is looking for a new Kitchen manager to help serve up a taste of the Cape and join the fun and friendly team we already have at our Oldham Street spot.
Our menu includes everything from boerewors sausages to monkey gland sauce and we’re looking for a vibrant and committed individual to help manage a growing Manchester-based business.
Our manager will lead, innovate and bring personality to the role, whilst also leading the smooth operations and top quality service that Chakalaka provides every day.
Chakalaka is an independent restaurant and bar that has grown a lot since we opened back in 2018 and our close-knit team work alongside one another to deliver great flavours and good vibes in a bustling and accessible atmosphere. We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee our hospitality kitchen operations.
We are looking for a strong people manager who knows how to lead & motivate a growing diverse team.
As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are met and assisting with cooking.
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high-quality dishes are served
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies
- Train new kitchen employees on proper techniques and procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
