About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager (RGN) to join our team. This is a clinical leadership role requiring a registered nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a strong background in elderly care.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the care home.
- Ensure the highest standards of clinical care and resident wellbeing are maintained.
- Lead, motivate, and support the clinical and care teams.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with CQC regulations and clinical governance requirements.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, medication management, and clinical audits.
- Promote a positive culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with staff supervision, training, recruitment, and performance management.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective use of care management systems.
Essential Requirements
- Valid NMC PIN (Registered General Nurse - RGN).
- Current nursing experience with a strong clinical background.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Deputy Manager within a care home setting.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, compliance, and clinical governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using electronic care management systems.
Desirable Requirements
- Two or more years of leadership or management experience within elderly care.
- Experience supporting teams in achieving high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
