Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant early childhood education setting. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operational procedures.
- Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.
- Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood development standards.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance appraisals to maintain high-quality childcare services.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and external agencies to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure environment for children and staff.
- Organise activities that support children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
- Maintain accurate records related to child progress, staff schedules, and regulatory documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the nursery to enhance service quality.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, child development theories, and early childhood education principles.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Experience working directly with children in a childcare or educational environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
