Assistant Warehouse Manager
Location: Wimbledon, South West London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:30pm
Salary: £35,000 basic salary plus up to £4,000 per annum in performance bonuses
Job Type: Full-time, permanent (following successful completion of probation)
About Us
Living-Water is an established and growing water and hydration company based in Wimbledon. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy depot and help lead our delivery team.
This is a hands-on role combining warehouse operations, stock control, deliveries and team leadership. We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes pride in high standards and enjoys creating a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the warehouse and delivery fleet.
- Oversee stock control and inventory management.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with deliveries and customer installations when required.
- Maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness and safety.
- Support and motivate drivers and warehouse staff, helping to maintain a positive and professional culture.
- Assist with route planning and operational problem solving.
- Ensure goods are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using warehouse and logistics systems.
- Work closely with management to improve processes and operational performance.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within warehouse and distribution operations.
- Delivery driving experience and a full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of stock control and warehouse procedures.
- Counterbalance forklift license.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead by example and support team members.
- Positive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to undertake the physical aspects of warehouse operations when required.
- Applicants should ideally live within approximately 30 minutes' driving distance of our Wimbledon depot.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Assistant Warehouse Manager, Team Leader or Senior Driver.
- Experience supervising and motivating delivery drivers or warehouse teams.
- Experience within the water, beverage, service or distribution industries.
- Basic plumbing, installation or maintenance experience.
- Experience with water coolers, filtration systems or similar equipment.
- Counterbalance forklift certification.
