A rare and rewarding opportunity to manage the security and health and safety of a successful and standalone private members club for serving and former enlisted members of the Armed Forces and their families has now become available. Based in London Waterloo, the Union Jack Club is looking for a Security, and Health and Safety Manager to join our Management Team.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Security and Health and Safety Manager will facilitate a Club environment that is safe and secure. You will be responsible for the supervision of all security staff and security operations including dealing with difficult and emergency situations within the Club. The role will also lead and manage health and safety within the Union Jack Club.
You will undertake the role of Duty Manager during your normal working hours and may be rostered to work during key dates, weekends, late shifts and special events throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Security, Health and Safety Manager and working with/for the Armed Forces and/or Police.
The Security and Health and Safety Manager will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to write and manage method statements and extensive experience of managing Health and Safety, including writing Risk Assessments and delivering Security, Health and Safety training.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Security and Health and Safety Manager, with a high level of security, health and safety awareness and cost control capabilities, including payroll.
The Security and Health and Safety Manager will proactively look for opportunities to maintain and improve the security, health and safety standards within the Club and will be expected to lead, manage and executive security projects and initiatives at the Club. This is a hands-on role which may include working early and late shifts, weekends, bank holidays and special events throughout the year.
