Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging football training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop customised training programmes to improve technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages sportsmanship, discipline, and mutual respect
- Monitor players’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Organise and oversee matches, ensuring all activities adhere to safety standards and organisational policies
- Promote fair play, inclusivity, and enjoyment of the game among all participants
- Maintain equipment, ensure the training area is safe, organised, and well-prepared for each session
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in football or similar team sports
- Demonstrated ability to teach skills effectively to diverse age groups and abilities
- Previous experience working with youth or community sports programmes is desirable
- Strong understanding of football tactics, rules, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players of all levels
- Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected
