Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee food production operations within our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows. Duties
- Supervise daily food production activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards
- Manage and coordinate kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to foster a collaborative team environment
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining efficiency and consistency across all dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and sanitation routines
- Support the delivery of exceptional hospitality services by ensuring timely meal service and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a food production or hospitality setting
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Experience in food safety practices and compliance with health regulations
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and management
- A passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
