We are seeking two experienced, reliable, and compassionate carers to support an elderly female client living with dementia in W1, London. This is a structured visiting care role where consistency, professionalism, excellent communication, and a person-centred approach are essential.
About the Role
Two carers are required to provide consistent cover throughout the week, including holidays:
- Main Carer: Approximately 60 hours per week
- Second/Cover Carer: Approximately 20 hours per week
The client follows a well-established daily routine, so punctuality and the ability to follow agreed care plans are essential.
Responsibilities
The successful carers will provide a combination of:
- Personal care, including bathing, dressing, continence care, and skincare
- Safe mobility and transfer assistance
- Meal preparation and support with eating and drinking
- Medication and hydration prompts where required
- Companionship, conversation, and engaging activities
- Regular monitoring, observation, and accurate record keeping
- Light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Close communication with the client's family to ensure continuity of care
About the Client
The client is an elderly woman living with dementia who requires reassurance, patience, and a calm approach. She has mobility and vision impairments and requires support with most daily activities. As English is not her first language, carers should be able to build trust through kindness, clear communication, and a reassuring presence.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience supporting people living with dementia
- Experience providing personal care and mobility support
- Excellent reliability and time management
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established care routines
- A caring, patient, and professional attitude
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with family members
