Overview
2fawcett are recruiting for a Buyer to join a successful and growing business based in Gainsborough on a permanent basis.
Due to continued expansion, our client is looking for a proactive and organised Buyer (or Procurement Coordinator) to take ownership of procurement, goods-in processes, and stock control systems. This role will support both stock items and bespoke, job-specific components across multiple product lines, working closely with manufacturing to ensure materials are available to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities and maintain effective stock control
- Operate and maintain workshop stores and inventory systems
- Monitor and manage consignment stock levels
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery performance
- Oversee goods-in processes, including invoice matching and accuracy checks
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), coordinating with production and finance teams
- Research and source alternative suppliers to improve cost, quality, and reliability
- Manage returns processes and ensure timely resolution
- Support quality control across procurement, goods-in, and returns
- Coordinate customer deliveries and produce delivery documentation
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and supply chain performance
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of a Vendor Rating System
