About the Role
Are you enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about inspiring young minds? Join Young Engineers as a STEM Teaching Assistant Apprentice and help deliver engaging, hands-on STEM learning through after-school and weekend clubs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real classroom experience while working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What You’ll Be Doing
As a STEM Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will:
- Support STEM instructors in delivering engaging lessons
- Assist with planning and preparing learning activities
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
- Support pupils in achieving learning goals (e.g. guided reading, activities)
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to instructors
- Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies
- Carry out basic administrative tasks
- Help deliver fun, hands-on STEM sessions that inspire curiosity and learning

- Experience working with children (schools, clubs, youth work, etc.)
- Confident, energetic communicator and positive role model
- Reliable, organised, and passionate about education
- Ability to work after-school hours and weekends
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Requirements:
- Must complete a DBS check and safeguarding training before starting
