As an SEN Graduate TA, you'll play a vital role in fostering student success, all while developing the teaching and support skills needed to transition into a teaching career.
The opportunity:
- Bradford
- Full-time role, Monday - Friday
- September 2026 - July 2027
- £500 - £530 per week - term time only
- Chance to gain invaluable SEN experience before teacher training or studies to become an educational psychologist.
The successful SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant must:
- Have a psychology degree with a 2:2 or above OR have a passion with working with SEN alongside a different degree.
- Be passionate about working with SEN pupils
- Be able to inspire and motive those that need additional support
- Have a good understanding of different needs pupils in a school can have
- Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
- Be creative, friendly, and approachable
- Any previous TA/SEN experience – be that in or out of the classroom - would be advantageous but not essential
Key responsibilities for the role:
- Working with specific children that require extra help and target support, depending on their needs
- 1:1 support within the early childhood department
- Working alongside Speech Therapists
- Working alongside other professionals to assess children including writing EHCPs
- Working with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil’s needs.
