Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Car Body Repairer to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition following collisions or damage, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the most effective repair methods
- Remove damaged panels, parts, or components using hand tools and power tools
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, frames, or structural components
- Use specialised equipment to straighten bent frames or panels
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, or masking prior to painting or finishing
- Apply paint, primer, or coatings to match original vehicle colour and finish
- Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet safety and aesthetic standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Car Body Repairer or similar role within the automotive industry
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, dollies, and chisels
- Experience with power tools including grinders, drills, and sanders
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large panels or components
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive body repair are desirable but not essential
