The Role:
As a Domiciliary Carer, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily tasks, and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with individuals who need support with everyday activities, including personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, and companionship. The role involves visiting clients in the community, so a driving license and access to transport is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care (e.g., washing, dressing, and grooming)
- Supporting clients with mobility and daily living activities
- Assisting with medication administration and reminders
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Ensuring clients' well-being and safety at all times
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided
- Working within care plans to meet individual needs
Shift Patterns Available:
- Mornings
- Afternoons
- Evenings
- Weekdays
- Weekends
We offer flexible working hours to suit your availability, with a variety of shift patterns to choose from.
Requirements:
- Experience in care (preferred, but not essential)
- A compassionate and caring attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred for community visits)
- An enhanced DBS check (we will assist you with this if necessary)
Desirable:
- Experience with elderly clients, learning disabilities, or mental health care
- Previous experience in domiciliary care
