The Opportunity Are you an aspiring VDA looking to launch your career in a supportive, family-feel environment where you'll be mentored by industry professionals?
Our client is one of the South East's leading accident repair groups. Operating across three elite sites, they are currently expanding their team. This is a BS10125-certified and multi-manufacturer approved facility, offering a stable and prestigious environment to grow your career as an Estimator.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate Estimating: Assist in assessing vehicle damage and producing repair estimates using Audatex/GT Motive, under the guidance of senior VDAs.
- Technical Development: Build your mechanical knowledge to identify damage, hidden repairs, and necessary parts.
- Customer Journey: Support the delivery of a premium service experience, from initial enquiry to final vehicle handover.
- Revenue Awareness: Learn to identify opportunities for additional services to enhance customer satisfaction and site profitability.
- Quality & Compliance: Develop your understanding of BS10125 standards and manufacturer protocols, ensuring all assessments meet required guidelines.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: Some experience in a bodyshop, parts, or estimating environment is beneficial but not essential — a keen interest in vehicle damage assessment is what matters most.
- Qualifications: ATA or NVQ certification is desirable, though we welcome candidates who are working towards these or eager to begin.
- Willingness to Learn: A proactive attitude and commitment to developing a "right first time" approach to estimating.
- Communication: The ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues and a desire to develop your technical communication skills.
Why Join This Team? Unlike large corporate consolidators, our client runs a successful group of three sites where every employee is known by name and genuinely valued. This is an ideal environment for a junior professional to grow without getting lost in the crowd.
- Competitive Salary: A salary package reflective of your experience, with clear progression as your skills develop.
- Mobility: Car allowance or Company Car options (negotiable).
- Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle.
- Wellbeing: Access to Health Assured support and a company pension scheme.
- Environment: Work in a manufacturer-approved shop with a friendly, close-knit team culture.
- Holiday: 20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
