Sales Advisor

Clayworks Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our sales team. This is a varied, client-facing role that sits at the heart of the business — you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers and play an important part in helping designers and specifiers bring their projects to life using our products.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will manage inbound enquiries, support clients through finish selection and specification, and ensure the smooth administration of orders and accounts. You will work closely with colleagues across production, logistics, samples and accounts to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
The Role
- Handle inbound sales enquiries by telephone and email, providing timely and knowledgeable responses.
- Assist interior designers, architects and specifiers with finish selection and specification development.
- Maintain and update the sales pipeline within the CRM system, keeping all records accurate.
- Chase outstanding invoice payments and liaise with the Accounts team on billing queries.
- Coordinate sample requests and liaise with internal teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
- Work collaboratively with the Production, Logistics, Samples and Accounts departments to support day-to-day sales operations.
- Liaise with subcontract applicators and installers to ensure the correct installation of Clayworks products.
What We Are Looking For
- A confident and professional communicator, comfortable speaking with designers, specifiers and trade customers.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in a customer-facing, construction industry related sales, specification or trade sales role is desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- A collaborative team player who can build effective working relationships across departments.
- An interest in design, interiors or architectural materials would be an advantage.
