Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health Care Assistant to join our caring team within a reputable care home. Duties
- Supervise and support a team of health care assistants, ensuring they deliver compassionate and professional care.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management in accordance with individual care plans.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, dignity, and respect for all residents.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external agencies as required.
- Contribute to organising activities that promote residents’ wellbeing and social engagement.
- Utilise IT systems efficiently for documentation, updating care records, and reporting.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a care home or senior care setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of health care assistants.
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare environments for record keeping and reporting purposes.
