Our Team
The Insurance & Risk Management Service provides advice and support across the council, as well as to other partner organisations including the National Parks Authorities and the companies of which we are a holder. The Service also manages and manages insurance claims from the council, external customers, and members of the public. We have a great opportunity to join our Insurance and Risk Management Team.
The role
As our Insurance and Risk management assistant you will provide advice and information about insurance and handle all types of insurance claims. You will also assist with arranging mid-term policy changes. Assist in the administration and updating of risk registers including organising risk management workshops. The post holder will do this by undertaking a range of duties within the Insurance and Risk Management Service.
What you will bring
For this position you will have excellent communication and customer care skills, be well-organised and flexible individuals who have excellent IT skills along with good literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail. You must be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and can work on your own initiative as well as effectively working as part of a team.
You will also have good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service as you will deal directly with members of the public.
We would welcome applicants who have experience in the insurance or related sector however full training will be provided and you will have the opportunity to gain a qualification.
