The Purple Roofing Company have a vacancy for a 'Roofing Operations Supervisor' to oversee a team of roofing operatives undergoing planned and responsive tasks.
Due to the increased workload, operatives and new contracts within social and public sectors, we are seeking a roofing operations supervisor to join our team. We provide a high standard of work and excellent customer service and would expect the applicant to also be capable of working to these standards.
Our work entails both larger roof recovering projects as well as repairs and maintenance through domestic and social/public sector contracts. It would be expected that the applicant could deal with the supervision of both of these project types.

The candidate will be required to be competent with the following tasks;
- Overseeing the management of teams/operatives delivering projects from mobilising to handover
- Ensure that operatives and subcontractors are meeting high-quality standards
- Monitoring progress and addressing any slippage
- Dealing promptly with customer requirements, including domestic and social/public sector projects
- Communicating with project managers and other personnel of the company contracts to maintain strong relationships
- Communicating to our contracts manager to ensure thorough oversite of ongoing work
- Be compliant with the latest H&S standards and implement to projects
- Ability to problem-solve issues from operatives, supply chain, subcontractors or clients quickly and effectively
This role has a minimum requirement of;
- CSCS card
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Roofing background (Minimum 5 years)
- Management/Supervisory experience (Minimum 2 years)
- Competency with IT and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
About the role:
- 40 hours per week.
- Salary of from £40,000 - £46,800 depending on skills and experience
- Entitlement to 28 days holiday including statutory and public holidays.
- Continuous training provided to improve skillset
- Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, laptop and uniform provided
Expectations from the applicant:
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Thorough experience working within the roofing sector
- Experience as an operations/contracts manager/supervisor
- Lives or can commute to our Bradford office
- Knowledge of BS8000, BS5534, BS5250 and other relevant standards
